SAVE THIS DATE!
Fundraiser--Friday, June 8, 2012 at The Time Out Lounge (directly across from Simeon High School) 7:00 p.m. Please come by and drop off a donation for our reunion and come out and socialize with fellow alumni and old neighbors of West Chatham. We are in need of funds for picnic permits (in the amount of about $1,000 or more) port-a-potties, insurance, tee-shirts, gift to the community, and much more.
Countdown four (4) months until the reunion! We need your help, support and prayers. Let's make this event a huge success. This is everyone's reunion--not one person. The reunion is not easy as just coming out to the park and throwing some ribs on the grill. The reunion takes much work, especially since the Park District requires a lot of detailed paperwork as well as monies. It's like having a event at a huge hall. In the past, we were able to get the park for a $50.00 permit and that's it. Not the case anymore. We need donations and participation. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!! Please spread the word.
IT'S THAT TIME!!! YES, TIME FOR THE HOOKWAY SCHOOL FAMILY AND FRIENDS REUNION. REUNION PICNIC WILL BE TENTATIVELY, AUGUST 18, 2012 FROM 10:00 A.M. UNTIL DUSK. SEE YOUR OLD CLASSMATES AND NEIGHBORS. BRING YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS! LET'S SHARE OUR MEMORIES OF THE PAST AND FOCUS ON THE PRESENT AND LOOK TO THE FUTURE. LOOKING TO RAISE MONIES TO GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY. CAN YOU HELP?
We have several Hookway Alumni who have "tied the knot" gotten married to their childhood, Hookway sweetheart or West Chatham sweetheart recently. "Love will always find a way!" CONGRATS!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL THOSE WHO WERE BORN IN THE MONTH
OF APRIL.
STAY CONNECTED!!!
There have been several reunions recently. Are you staying connected? I know all of us have either exchanged email addresses, phone numbers and addresses. We took pictures and all that kind of stuff. It is important to stay connected. With the reunions, it is a chance to remember the past and look at the present and future. We are not to just look, but participate in this big world--maybe in a little way or it could be in a big way. Stay tuned for the Connection. Also--continue to tell others about our website.
What's going on? The question has been asked, "Is there going to be another reunion this year?"
Want to know how you have enjoyed the reunions so far. Please log in and let us know how you have enjoyed the reunions and what impact has it made on your life, if any. (Have you reconnected with someone you hadn't seen in years? ) I know of some classmates getting married after seeing each other at a reunion.)
Talk to us! Please log in on our blog site.
The Royce Glamour Show (For mostly Youth talents) Royce Glamour is our very own, Joseph Martin. His cable T.V. Show is seen at least once a week. It features inner-city talent. His show taping is schedule for the end of this month. If you would like to be at the taping and/or support his efforts with keeping the youth off the streets and giving them a constructive environment of rehearsing and discovering their talent.
